Corambirra Records has been around since 2024. How did the foundation come about and what does “Corambirra” mean? Falk: The name comes from a breakwater called “Corambirra Point” in Coffs Harbour. If you want, you can take that as a metaphor. In times when most listeners don’t give a sh*t about music, the sweat and people behind it, and when lots of labels are hunting statistics, streams, and clicks, we don’t want to participate in that short-lived music industry driven by trends and social media. We simply want to release kick-ass music that deserves physical media, just because we feel like it. That’s kinda the idea behind Corambirra Records. On your homepage there is the following sentence: “We don’t chase trends, we amplify authenticity.” … a very honorable goal.
