DELIRIUM'S DAWN and Amper Slam e.V. are the joint organizers of the Delirious Existence Fest 2025, which will take place in honor of the 20th anniversary of DELIRIUM’S DAWN. How did the idea and/or the cooperation come about? Is a new edition planned for 2026?
Younas: The idea came up during pre-production of our next album. We knew we wanted to celebrate the anniversary, but as a DIY band with families, we needed support. Since I knew the Amper Slam crew, teaming up was an obvious choice. They brought up the open-air concept. A second edition in 2026 is something we’d love to do - but it depends on how 2025 goes.

The stylistic range of the lineup is quite focused on Melodic Death Metal & Metalcore. What criteria were used to select the bands, what was important to you and aren’t you afraid that this stylistic concentration and without a well-known headliner might not attract enough audiences?
Younas: We chose bands close to our own musical style - artists we know and wanted to share the stage with. Metalcore is broad and offers diversity. Sure, not having a big headliner is a risk, but our underground approach keeps tickets affordable. We’re not aiming for profit. All earnings go into a possible volume 2.

In this day and age, festivals are repeatedly cancelled because not enough tickets were sold in advance. How is it with you? What will the paying audience be offered on July 19 that makes it impossible for the audience to ignore the DEF?
Younas: Pre-sales have been slow, so cancellation is a real possibility - which would suck. But we’re proud of the lineup, the vibe, and our amazing team. It’s a 1-day event with heart. Full info on venue, program and more are on our Instagram channel.
