Classic introduction – DEATH RECEIPT ... where are you from, how long have you been around, what drove you to music, etc.? Just tell us a few words about your origin and who you are.
D&M: We’re from Wallersdorf (Lower Bavaria), and that’s where our journey began in 2018 when we met at a concert. After a few beers, we decided to rehearse, only to realize shortly after that what we were doing was awesome and we had to start a band.

According to your band info you are only on the road live in Bavaria. Why is that? Don’t you have any ambitions to play nationwide/international? What are your live plans with the new material?
D&M: In Bavaria, we’re now laying the foundation for our national and international conquest tour with our new material! We’re very ambitious and trying to get as many live gigs as possible. So go ahead and spread the word about DEATH RECEIPT’s songs, so we can play as many live gigs as we can!

DIY seems to be an important commodity in your band cosmos. „Frequency of death“ was completely self-recorded, mixed and mastered. Why is DIY so important to you and what challenges did you face? Is it conceivable that you will fall back on help in the recording process in the future?
D&M: For us, DIY isn’t just a workaround. It’s a deliberate choice for artistic autonomy. Since we work with Reaper and handle the production (IK Multimedia Tone Studio Max) ourselves, it allows us to unleash exactly the sonic beast we have in mind. The biggest challenge was our first time recording, which meant dialing in the right amps, like the EVH 5150, Randall RD20, and Peavey 6505+, and finding the perfect mic placement to capture our vision of the sound. We are open to collaborations, as long as the vision does not get diluted.
