Hipsignal: Yes, you summed that up correctly! Hipsignal connects musicians with bands looking for additional musicians. The idea came to us when we realized how difficult it was to find our own members for our music projects. Hipsignal is a project of a group of friends who have set themselves the goal of supporting other musicians for free.

You focus on rock and punk? Why is that? Why don’t you broaden your scope? After all, there are vacancies in every genre.
Hipsignal: We focus on rock and punk because we believe that we can best support music from this genre. Of course, mediation is independent of the genre, but our passion and expertise lie in rock and punk.

Do you have any ideas for further developing the platform? Where do you see it going? I could easily imagine, for example, expanding the platform to include rehearsal spaces …
Hipsignal: For the further development of Hipsignal on Instagram, we are actually thinking about the integration of concert opportunities and rehearsal rooms. This would be an important step towards supporting musicians even more comprehensively. Of course, what exactly that looks like depends on the response and needs of our users - and on whether we can find enough musicians who are committed to us and express their needs. We are open to ideas and look forward to the further development of our community.
