How did On Fire Agency come to be founded and how long have you been around? Please just tell us a few background details about your booking agency.
Alexandre: On Fire was created around 2011, when some Brazilian bands started asking me to take care of their tours because I was coming to Europe quite often to do some tours with my former band, ANDRALLS. So, I had a lot of contacts and started organizing tours in Europe for some friends’ bands from Brazil.

You are specifically focused on Europe when booking. Why Europe? Why not North America or Asia? In return, do you also offer tours in Brazil or South and Central America in general for bands from Europe?
Alexandre: I decided to focus on European tours because Europe had a very organized touring circuit for bands. Bands from all over the world were always touring here, and for me it was a bit easier to enter that circuit because I already had the know-how from the tours I was doing in Brazil for my band. Also, with the shorter distances here, it was possible to organize tours more efficiently. I don’t do tours in Asia or North America because of the distances and all the processes involving visas, etc.

What is important for you when working with bands? Where do you put special focus on? What difficulties are you exposed to as a booking agency currently?
Alexandre: I think the most important thing is to create a route that makes sense, so the bands can travel through the countries without having to travel too much between gigs. Another important thing is to do it in advance. I mean the booking process should start at least six months ahead. For me, the biggest issue nowadays is getting the dates I need available at the venues. We have a lot of bands touring around, and this can sometimes be a problem. But as I said, when you do it in advance, this can work
